Perimed Instruments AB

Peripheral blood circulation measurement
Järfälla-based Perimed is a Swedish medical technology company that develops instruments for peripheral blood circulation measurement. The instruments are used both clinically and for research into conditions caused by impaired blood circulation. All of Perimed's instruments use transcutaneous (through the skin) measurement techniques such as laser Doppler, TcpO2 and Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging (LSCI). Diabetics is a common patient group whose blood circulation and blood perfusion are analysed with Perimed equipment.

Perimed's Linux supplier
Codiax has been Perimed's Linux supplier for many years and has, among other things, been involved in developing several generations of the basic software for PeriFlux6000. Perimed develops the advanced diagnostic application, while we at Codiax provide the operating system where the application runs.
The Linux platform allows the PeriFlux6000 to connect cameras, printers and an external PC via USB, and supports patient data entry in Latin, Chinese and Japanese characters via an on-screen keyboard. Other key responsibilities for Codiax have been production installation and support for field upgrades.
