MontaVista Software of San Jose, CA, has long been a driving force in Linux and real-time, with contributions to the now classic PREEMPT_RT patch back in the early 2000s. MontaVista offers commercial support and long-term maintenance of its own Yocto-based MontaVista Linux, as well as of CentOS, Rocky Linux, and other embedded Linux.

Ever since Codiax's start in 2015, we have had a close working relationship with MontaVista, with Codiax's Linux specialists providing courses for MontaVista customers worldwide. We also often contribute directly to MontaVista customer projects in Europe where we act as FAEs and assist in customers' implementation of MontaVista Linux.
